Adidas Varner Wrestling Boots
Inspired by 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist, Jake Varner, these wrestling boots give you the edge on the mat as you strive for victory. An extremely lightweight upper offers comfort and breathability while the grippy rubber outsole ensures optimal grip and traction.
Breathable Mesh Upper
The upper of the Varner wrestling boot has been constructed using a breathable mesh material to offer lightweight comfort and exceptional breathability to keep your feet cool and dry. The mesh actively and efficiently wicks away the build-up of excess mesh, leaving your feet cool, dry and comfortable as you strive for the best results and performance. Additionally, cool air is encouraged to circulate, creating a drier, healthier environment for your feet to thrive. Furthermore, the mesh is knitted to deliver support and durability without sacrificing comfort or performance. A padded tongue offers a nice, next-to-skin feel as well as preventing friction and irritation such as chafing. The collar fits around the ankles, offering a freedom of motion and protection in a potentially susceptible area. Traditional lacing provides a secure, locked-in fit and feel while the authentic signature of Jake Varner resides on a tab between the lacing. Rounding off the upper is TPU lining, which delivers anatomical support.
While the upper offers breathability and comfort, the midsole provides ample support to help keep you in constant contact with the mat. Having a stable, solid platform will help keep you locked in the right positions to take hits and more importantly, improve your chances of making hits on the opponent.
Grippy Rubber Outsole
Remain in contact with the mat thanks to the grippy rubber outsole. The outsole provides optimal grip and sure footing on the mat, and give a full, unrestricted range of motion in each direction so you don’t become rooted to the spot and become an easy target for your opponent. Having a flexible outsole helps you to become more mobile and enhances agility to be in the best position, especially in the toughest matches where every possible advantage is crucial.
